Features of yoke type track rollers
Support rollers are single or double row rolling bearings consisting of a thick-walled, usually crowned outer ring and cylindrical rolling elements (needles or cylindrical rollers). The outer rings generally have two fixed ribs, while the inner rings are usually ribless. In addition, the yoke type track rollers can be equipped with loose thrust washers. They can support high radial loads as well as low axial loads and are suitable for cam controls, guides and conveyor systems. The relubrication can be optionally via holes in the inner ring.
Load capacity
The permissible radial load Fr permissible of the back-up roller must not be exceeded, since the resulting pressures in contact can damage the mating track. About the values for the permissible radial load capacity of the back-up rollers, our service team will be happy to provide information.
The axial load capacity of cylindrical roller bearings is influenced by the design, the lubricant used and the bearing tilting. Loaded ribs or thrust washers must be supported over the entire height. The Fa/Fr ratio should not exceed 0.4. An exclusive axial load without radial load is not permissible.
For the minimum radial load of needle roller bearings, a ratio of Fr/Cr>0.02 is recommended, especially at high speeds. The values for the dynamic load rating Cr can be found in our product data sheets.
Accuracies
The dimensional and running tolerances of the stud type track rollers normally correspond to the tolerance class P0 according to DIN 620-2.
Bearing Clearance
The stud type track rollers are designed in the standard with the bearing clearance class C2 according to DIN 620-4.

Sealing
Support rollers are usually designed with angle rings and abrasive sealing lip. Depending on the installation space, Sealing systems are also possible.
Materials
The back-up rollers are made in your standard version from material 1.3505 (100Cr6) and manufactured with a minimum hardness of 58 HRC. On request, corrosion protected versions are available.
